Chalet Walsenbach Kitzbühel

PROJECT

»A conversion requires acceptance of the existing building on the one hand and a lot of courage for new beginnings on the other.«

This chalet is situated at the foot of the Kitzbüheler Horn in the middle of a unique natural panorama. It was built eight years ago and became the property of new landlords in 2014. Bernd Gruber was commissioned with the new furnishing and exclusive interior design. The result: a holistic living concept with a love of tradition and the courage to innovate.

A completely new interior design has been implemented in the ground and attic floors: Bernd Gruber's 'handwriting' can be seen and felt from the rough concept down to the smallest detail. Wall cladding in old wood, an atmospheric lighting concept and perfectly coordinated furnishings create a fully-fledged living area. An unused basement was turned into an oasis of peace with a guest room and wellness area.

All wooden elements of the chalet are adapted to the completely new colour concept: While grey dominates as the main tone, black and blue set noble accents.

STORY

Fine feeling for material and room effect

In order to give a project a holistic effect, the choice of materials is crucial. Only through the interaction of various materials such as wood, metal, stone and fabrics, coordinated down to the smallest detail, can a harmonious overall picture be created that is tailored to the client. During the implementation of our projects, we always respond individually to the wishes, notions and ideas of our customers. It is important to us to create living spaces for which one can get enthusiastic every day anew. This is only possible through careful listening and mutual trust.
