Country style home in Sylt

PROJECT

Sensitively connecting the elements

Our first project on the North Frisian Island of Sylt is dedicated to nature and the elements of wind, water and sand. The ever-present wind can be found in the shapes and movements of all materials: water complements colour and movement, and the sand finds its subtle interpretation in the multi-faceted textures of the furniture. The result is a special kind of “barefoot feeling” and a successful homage to the elements of creation.

Concept, execution, construction supervision

 

Wavy shapes and soft colours characterize the entire interior like a light breeze.
The special glass groove look of the doors, the exquisite pine wood structure and the colour-coordinated natural stone floor are all inspired by the surrounding natural elements.
The desired naturalness is conveyed with great attention to detail and as unobtrusively as possible.
STORY

Time is the most valuable investment

A total of 2 years have passed from the demanding planning to the completion of the 250 sq. meter property. The work included the complete concept, execution and building supervision of the interior design for the basement, ground floor and top floor. The result is a personal and distinctive style that makes the empathetic cooperation between client and contractor perceptible.

 

Special attention was paid to the unique interpretation and execution of the materials and quality features.
The swinging doors on the top floor create a natural light axis.
The brushed pine creates a natural island feeling through its organic texture.
The traditional-looking thatched house was newly built and offers a feel-good interpretation on the inside of the surrounding island nature.
