BERND Gruber

What story should your personal home tell?

Our claim: In harmony with the location and nature.

When we design something, we always strive to capture the soul of a place and translate it into every detail. A small but exquisite example of this is this mini chalet, nestled in the breathtaking natural surroundings of the Dolomites. It served as inspiration for the interior design, which was crafted using high-quality local materials such as natural stone and reclaimed wood.

About the beginnings

How it all began – Bernd Gruber tells the story.

More than 30 years ago, Bernd Gruber took over his father's workshop after completing his training as Austria's youngest master carpenter. From the very beginning, he has shaped the international interior design brand Bernd Gruber that developed from this with his style, passion, and attention to detail.

He tells the story himself: "I took over the business from my father when I was young, as a carpenter with eight employees. Quality was always a big issue back then, and it was something that drove me. I carried that on. It was always important to me that when things were finished, they were really good. If I had finished a piece of furniture and someone hung the wrong lamp over it, it hurt me. I realized that I wanted to decide for myself where my furniture would be placed and in what environment. So we continued to develop into an interior design company and acquired a deep understanding of places and people."

Production in Stuhlfelden

A beautiful workshop for beautiful things.

Our appreciation for craftsmanship is also reflected in the design of our workshop.

Our origins in craftsmanship, our feel for people and places, and our high standards form the core of our brand. For us, the beauty that emerges from this is also evident in the production process. The design of our current workshop spaces allows this to be experienced holistically—both by the people who work there and by our visitors.
