A nature-inspired interior design on Sylt.
With this special project, Bernd Gruber celebrated his debut on the North Frisian island of Sylt—a place that is shaped by the elements of wind, water, and sand like no other. These forces of nature served as the central source of inspiration for an interior design that is sensual, subtle, and deeply atmospheric.

Designed with the natural environment in mind.
The wind is reflected in flowing forms and dynamic material transitions, while the element of water is mirrored in color nuances and the deliberate movement of the space. Sand is interpreted not literally, but texturally—in fine, tactile surfaces and the haptic diversity of custom-made furniture.
Wind, water, and sand are not only outside—they live here in every line and every material.
The result is a unique sense of space that deliberately focuses on lightness and down-to-earthness—an atmosphere that invites you to slow down while conveying the highest level of design precision.
A quiet experience with depth.
From conception to execution to construction supervision, a refuge was created that captures the essence of the island, harmonizing design, nature, and emotion. This project is not only an aesthetic statement, but rather an expression of perfect interior design.
