Chalet Schattberg Hollersbach

PROJECT

Refuge in the Pinzgau mountains

The chalet, which was only built in 2005, was completely renovated by Bernd Gruber. The exposed location in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park was to be honoured above all by the redesign of the spacious terrace with a view of the Pinzgau mountains.

In addition, a home office with lounge area was built in the former garage. In the living room, the existing tiled stove was removed and replaced by an open, imposing fireplace, a design reference to the elemental power of fire.

The impressive, open fireplace is the centrepiece of the living area.

Domestic materials and austere design create a homely atmosphere.
